Privacy policy
Interactive Reading Apps is a reading reference site with no accounts, no payments and no comments. This policy explains the small amount of personal data the site handles and what you can do about it. Updated 30 October 2026.
Who we are
Alegria Media and Consulting Ltd. ("we") publishes Interactive Reading Apps at interactivereadingapps.com and is responsible for the personal data described here. You can reach us through the contact form; we do not publish an email address, phone number or postal address.
What you send through the contact form
When you send a message, we receive the name, email address, topic and message you enter, and, if you choose "Correction", the optional source link. The form contains a hidden field that people do not see; it helps us spot automated spam and is sent with the form.
Technical data the host logs
Like every website, the provider that hosts this site automatically records technical details when pages are requested: IP address, browser type, the pages requested and the time. These logs are used to keep the site running and secure.
Cookies and browser storage
The site does not set cookies and does not use localStorage or sessionStorage. See the cookie policy.
Google Fonts and other third parties
Our fonts load from Google Fonts. When they load, Google receives your IP address and browser details, as with any download. The site has no analytics, no advertising and no social media scripts.
Legal basis
Under the GDPR and UK GDPR we rely on our legitimate interests in operating and securing the site and in answering the messages you send us. Where the law requires consent, we ask for it.
Who receives your data
- Hosting and infrastructure providers acting for us.
- The provider that delivers contact form messages, once the form is connected.
- Authorities, where the law requires it.
We do not sell personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
International transfers
Your data may be processed outside your country, with appropriate safeguards in place.
How long we keep it
We keep contact messages as long as we need them to handle your request, then delete them. Server logs are kept for a limited period set by the host.
Your rights
EU and UK: you can ask to access, correct or delete your data, restrict or object to its use, receive it in a portable form, and withdraw consent at any time. You can also complain to a data protection supervisory authority.
California: under the CCPA as amended by the CPRA, you can ask to know what we hold, to delete it and to correct it. You can opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, although we do neither, and we will not treat you differently for using your rights.
Elsewhere: you also have the rights given by other privacy laws that apply to you.
To use any of these rights, send a message through the contact form with the topic "Privacy request".
Children
This site is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes to this policy
If we change how the site handles data, we will update this page and the date at the top.
